Electrical Test & Remedial Engineer
Location: Glasgow - Regional coverage (your office could be a school one day, a retail unit the next)
Salary: £60,000 OTE (Competitive salary + bonus opportunities, company van, fuel card and comprehensive benefits)
Hours: Normal working hours are days, however there are requirements for unsocial working to accommodate customer needs.

We help keep thousands of commercial and industrial buildings safe, compliant and operational. Whether it's a hospital, distribution centre, university, office block or retail premises, our engineers play a vital role in making sure electrical installations are safe and fit for purpose.
Thanks to continued growth, strong customer demand and ongoing contract wins, we're looking to add experienced Hybrid Testing & Remedial Electricians to our team.
This is the perfect role for someone who enjoys both the investigative side of electrical testing and the practical satisfaction of putting things right.
What you'll actually be doing (cutting through the jargon):
Carrying out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) on commercial and industrial electrical installations
Identifying faults, non-compliances and potential risks, then producing high-quality reports that provide clear recommendations
Completing remedial and rectification works following inspections, ensuring installations meet the latest BS7671 requirements
Producing Minor Works Certificates, Remedial Completion Reports and associated compliance documentation
Carrying out additional specialist inspections and testing, including emergency lighting, RCD testing, thermographic surveys and distribution board maintenance
Working directly with customers on-site, providing a professional service while representing PTSG to the highest standard
Using modern testing equipment and reporting software to deliver accurate, efficient results
Staying up to date with industry regulations, standards and best practice
What we expect from you:
Fully qualified Electrician with NVQ Level 3, AM2 or equivalent qualifications
City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 (or equivalent inspection and testing qualifications)
Current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
Experience carrying out electrical installation work within commercial environments
Fixed wire testing experience would be highly advantageous
A full UK driving licence
A self-motivated approach with strong attention to detail and a commitment to doing the job properly first time
Someone who can work independently while still being a great team player
